Cynosure Affinity QS
The Affinity QS is a high-powered, Q-switched Nd:YAG laser that lets you choose the most effective wavelength for treating multi-color tattoos and pigmented lesions: the 1064-nm wavelength or the 532-nm wavelength. The 1064-nm wavelength is ideal for treating darker tattoos and dermal pigmented lesions, such as nevus of Ota or nevus of Ito The 532-nm wavelength treats red-colored tattoos and epidermal pigmented lesions, such as solar lentigines 200% as powerful as competitive Q-switched Nd:YAG lasers Optimal versatility enables you to switch wavelengths, select spot sizes (2mm, 3mm, 4mm, 6mm) for customized treatment and deliver more energy where it’s needed for faster treatment of large areas.

PicoSure’s ultra-short pulse duration goes beyond photothermal action creating an intense photomechanical impact, patented PressureWave™, resulting in greater disruption of the target for better clearance with fewer treatments, less fluence and without injury to the surrounding skin. Picosecond vs. Nanosecond Technology
Traditional nanosecond lasers predominately rely on photothermal action, delivering heat to the pigment and surrounding tissue. PicoSure takes advantage of PressureWave Technology to shatter the target ink into tiny particles that are easily eliminated by the body.
Ultra-short Pulse Duration Is the Difference
- Picosecond pulse width is 100X shorter than nanosecond technology.
- Only ultrashort pulse durations trigger photomechanical effect.
- With this short pulse width, half the fluence is required compared to Q-Switched nanosecond lasers.
The Accolade™ is a high-powered, Q-switched Alexandrite laser that provides fast treatment of a full spectrum of benign epidermal and dermal pigmented lesions, such as solar lentigines, freckles, Acquired Dermal Melanocytosis, Nevus of Ota/Ito and multicolored tattoos, including black, blue, brown and, unlike other lasers, green tattoos. A fiber delivered high-powered Q-switched pulse is available through a variety of spot sizes; small spot sizes for high fluence treatment of dermal pigmented lesions and tattoos, medium spot sizes for efficient treatment of tattoos and epidermal pigmented lesions and large spot sizes for low fluence treatments for larger areas of the skin with pigmentation.

Precision Technology for Optimal Results
PrecisionTx is an Nd:YAG 1440 nm wavelength laser. The 1440 nm wavelength is highly absorbed by water and creates a photomechanical effect which causes micro bubbles at the fiber tip (cavitation effect). This results in bidirectional energy distribution and more focused targeting of tissue.
